The mission of the Afro nation Entertainment Society is to empower and uplift Afro-Caribbean artists, musicians, filmmakers, and creators by providing them with platforms, resources, and opportunities to showcase their talents to BC, Canadian, and global audiences. We are committed to fostering collaboration, innovation, and inclusivity, with the aim of promoting African culture and talent in all its forms.

Promote African Talent

Our primary mandate is to identify, nurture, and promote Afro-Caribbean talent in the entertainment industry. We strive to create opportunities for artists, musicians, filmmakers, and creators to showcase their work, gain recognition, and find avenues for professional growth.

Facilitate Collaboration

We aim to foster collaboration and partnership within the Afro-Caribbean entertainment industry and beyond. By connecting artists, professionals, and organizations, we seek to facilitate the exchange of ideas, knowledge, and resources, leading to the creation of transformative and impactful projects.

Create, promote, and curate the annual Afro-nation Festival

Empowerment and Education

We believe in the power of education and empowerment. We strive to provide educational resources, training, and mentor-ship programs to empower Afro-Caribbean artists and creators, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the entertainment industry.

Afro Nation ignites the spirit of African culture in the heart of Vancouver

Afro Nation Canada is a not-for-profit community-based organization that promotes African music in Vancouver through its annual flagship music festival Afro Nation. Established in 2000, Music Africa is among the oldest and most respected organizations promoting African music in Canada. Through its activities and events, such as the annual Black History Month Concert Series, Music Africa is committed to enhancing appreciation and awareness of African music among Canadians and continues to strive to establish Toronto as a thriving global centre for African music.

 

 

Afro Nation ignites the spirit of African culture in the heart of Vancouver, one of the most culturally diverse cities in the world. Afro Nation seeks to share the rich and diverse expressions of African music and culture in an inclusive, vibrant and positive community festival setting. Through Afro Nation, a diverse audience celebrates the abundant energy of African music in an effort to cultivate community spirit and enhance the understanding and appreciation of the diverse people of Africa.
